The planning guide / 4 minute read
Measure once. Plan with confidence.
A practical measuring checklist before you choose the pieces.

Start with the shell
Measure each wall at floor level and again around shoulder height. Note the ceiling height, alcoves and any sloping sections. Sketch a simple plan and keep every dimension in millimetres.
Mark what cannot move easily
Record doors and their swing, windows, soil pipes, radiators, sockets and existing waste positions. Photograph each wall and flag any unknown plumbing to your installer.
Leave room to use the room
Draw the footprint of furniture and sanitaryware, then leave comfortable space to move, open drawers and clean around fittings. Product dimensions alone do not establish a safe layout.
Have the plan checked
Take your sketch, photographs and product shortlist to a qualified installer. Confirm drainage, ventilation, water pressure, wall support and electrical zones before ordering.
