Frequently asked questions
How are extra locations priced?
The first location is included. Each additional location using the same design adds 30% of the base website build, rounded to the nearest pound before currency conversion, plus £19 GBP/month maintenance. The percentage is always based on the original build, never compounded. Different functionality or layouts need separate scoping.
What counts as a main page?
Home, About, Services, individual service pages, portfolio, Contact and substantial FAQ/help pages. A normal page has around six to eight sections using the agreed website design.
What counts as a support page?
A simpler, text-focused policy or support page such as privacy, terms, refund or cancellation information. Select only relevant pages. Legal drafting and interactive help systems are separate.
What is included in £199?
The shared design, responsive layout, supplied text and image placement, basic search metadata, image optimisation, accessibility checks, browser/device testing, two consolidated visual revision rounds, standard deployment and thirty days of defect support for the agreed scope.
Why does backend work cost more?
It adds data handling, access rules, workflows and integrations. Modules include their functional screens. Shared infrastructure and required authentication are counted once.
Is the estimate a final quotation?
No. We confirm scope, currency, third-party costs and final price in writing. Unpriced requirements are clearly listed, and any displayed subtotal remains partial.
Are hosting and domains included?
Editable websites include standard hosting, backups and routine CMS updates at £200/year, separately itemised. Domains, business email, paid platform subscriptions, processing and usage charges remain separate. Other projects are scoped individually.
Can I use my existing domain?
Yes. We can plan deployment around it, subject to access to the domain and hosting settings. Domain renewal fees remain separate.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes. There is no automatic redesign surcharge. Select website-content migration when appropriate, and share the current URL privately in your enquiry.
Can I update content myself?
Choose an editable website or managed content system for one editor role and a simple collection. More complex publishing or custom administration needs a separately scoped module.
Are monthly care plans required?
Monthly care is optional and covers additional agreed work. Editable websites have a separate £200/year hosting, backups and routine CMS update allowance, included in the known first-year total.
How do currency conversions work?
GBP is the source price. We use a single dated daily reference-rate snapshot for every displayed item. If recent conversion data is unavailable, we show GBP. Invoice currency and amount are confirmed in writing.
Can I request something missing from the calculator?
Yes. Select the relevant review item or I need advice and describe it in your enquiry. Shared links include only scope choices; they may recalculate when prices or rates change.
