Email connect@matrixbreach.com. This link opens a draft with a Sudokuzy-specific subject; you must send it yourself. No response deadline is promised. The app’s email action first uses its grown-up check; this website does not require one.

Getting started

What are the Sudoku rules?

Fill the 9×9 grid so each row, column and 3×3 box contains digits 1–9 once. Select an empty cell and tap a number. Given digits cannot be edited. Relaxed play has no hearts, mistake-limit game-over or penalty for ordinary experimentation.

How do I select a difficulty or level?

Choose Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert in the numbered level maps. There are 25 fixed offline puzzles per difficulty, 100 altogether. Every level is included without payment or resources.

Can I resume or replace a puzzle?

Resume the active puzzle to keep entries, notes and edit history. Selecting a different puzzle can replace the active session; read the confirmation before continuing. Completion history remains separate. Do not assume every unfinished puzzle has its own saved session.

Notes, Candidates and editing

How are Notes different from Candidates?

Notes are manual reminders: choose which digits to add or remove. Candidates separately previews legal numbers for the selected empty cell based on the current board. It does not populate your notes, and a legal candidate is not a guarantee of the correct solution.

Are erase, undo and redo free?

Yes. Number entry, Notes, Candidates, erase, undo and redo are free. Erase removes your entry in an editable cell. Undo steps back through edits; redo restores undone edits while available. Given digits remain protected.

Does “No conflicts” mean my answer is right?

No. Conflicts identify repeated digits. A conflict-free entry can still differ from the solution. Optional mistake checking compares entries with the solution and records assistance.

Unlimited hints

How do I use a hint?

Hints are unlimited and free. Tap Hint to display an explanation and review the highlighted cells. Apply the deduction if you want to, or continue solving yourself. There is no refill clock or resource purchase.

Is every hint a logical explanation?

The solver explains supported deductions. If it cannot explain the next step, a reveal is clearly labelled solution assistance. Unlimited access does not mean every advanced solving strategy is supported.

Do hints change notes or count again when reopened?

Hints never automatically fill manual notes. Hint and assistance use is recorded locally, but reopening the same displayed hint does not count another use.

Daily Challenges and awards

How do dates, stars and streaks work?

Use the dated calendar for today or playable past dates; future dates are disabled. Completing a date adds a marker and one daily star. Consecutive completed dates build streaks, and completing a month earns its award. Replaying does not duplicate stars.

Is each day a never-repeated puzzle?

No. Dates use a stable, versioned mapping into the existing catalogue. Puzzles can repeat across dates.

Why does a date or streak look unexpected?

Daily dates use the device’s local clock. Check the date, time and time zone. Dates are not server-verified or tamper-proof. Playing past dates can affect recorded streaks; report unexpected results before deleting data.

Offline play and what is included

Are there ads or purchases?

No. The first release contains neither. Every puzzle, all editing actions and unlimited hints are included, with no subscriptions.

Does the game need internet?

Normal gameplay works offline. Android’s only app permission is vibration for optional haptics. Choosing a website or email action opens your separate browser or mail app after the grown-up check; those external services may use the internet.

Settings, tutorial and external links

Where are appearance and accessibility settings?

Open Me → Settings for light/dark appearance, sound, music, haptics, Auto-Lock, reduced motion, timer visibility and larger text. The timer pauses during relevant menus and backgrounding.

Can I replay the tutorial?

Yes. Replay it from Help; the real active game and its records are preserved while you practise.

Why do external links ask for a grown-up?

The app shows a parent/guardian prompt and a locally generated arithmetic check. After a correct answer, explicit Continue opens the destination. A wrong answer or cancellation opens nothing. This is a basic exit safeguard, not identity verification; no age, date of birth or answer is stored. You can read the native privacy explanation and open-source notices inside the app without leaving it.

Saving and troubleshooting

Can I recover progress on another device?

There is no account, developer-operated cloud synchronization or recovery service. Operating-system backups are separate and do not create a guaranteed restore service. Removing data or changing devices can lose progress.

The game is frozen or cannot save. What should I try?

Reopen the app, check available storage, restart the device if needed and check for an update through the channel where you obtained it. Keep the current installation and report persistent problems. Do not clear storage or reinstall as a first step: removed progress may be unrecoverable.

How do I remove local progress?

Use Me → Privacy Rights → Delete local progress. It removes active, temporary and preserved recovery saves belonging to the profile and starts a fresh profile. Read the deletion guide first; backups and support emails are managed separately.
